Research Opportunities in the Navara Lab |
Graduate Students |
I am currently accepting masters and PhD students looking to work in an integrative lab learning laboratory, animal care, and potentially some field techniques. Research projects will compliment ongoing work in the lab examining mechanisms responsible for sex ratio adjustment and yolk hormone deposition. If interested, please send me an email at knavara(at)uga(dot)edu. Include a current CV, a description of your research interests, an unofficial transcript, and GRE scores (if you have them). Application deadlines are in July for Fall semester and November for Spring semester. Please see my graduate student guidelines page for more information. |
Undergraduate Researchers |
Positions are also available for undergraduate researchers looking to gain lab and/or animal handling experience. Workers will gain an aptitude in endocrinology, immunology, and evolutionary biology while developing skills in radioimmunoassay, basic molecular techniques and cell culture. Compensation will be in the form of academic credit. If interested, please send me an email and include a description of your research interests as well as a CV or resume. References are helpful as well. |
